Well-executed events are key to any successful marketing communication strategy, whether the focus is on an internal audience, such as employees, or an external audience, such as the media or customers. An effective event communication strategy should aim to engage and involve your attendees, and encourage awareness, interaction and feedback. Multiple communication channels can be used to achieve strategic communication goals, from social media tools and videos, to storytelling, interactive activities and live-streamed presentations.
The Women’s March has become synonymous with unity and vocal, community-based activism in California, across the U.S., and around the world. The Napa Valley chapter held its first march in January 2017. Throughout the year, it partners with local, regional and national activist groups on a range of issues, including the preservation of the Affordable Care Act.
We came on board to enhance the Women’s March fundraising and community outreach efforts through targeted donation and sponsorship appeals, as well as an online charity fundraising auction. The auction, which sold a range of community donated items from wine and travel packages to art and collectibles, was a first for the Women’s March Napa Valley chapter. We also prepared targeted event press releases directed to a range of Bay Area media outlets.
